Please note that most releases are burnt to cdr and personally packaged by the band, rather than being impersonally manufactured by sophisticated, robot-machines employed by a large corporation. The band hope to one day have their own robots, but as robots can be quite sexy, they doubt they would be used for such menial tasks as making cds.

THE HOUSE OF BEAUTY RECORDED WORKS SERIES

The Cuban Boys have always been purveyors of the d.i.y. ideology. The immediacy of creating and distributing material produced and packaged direct from their home studio is something which is inherent to their nature. For 2008 and beyond, the band have decided to structure the output they release under their own House of Beauty label with a recorded works categorisation system.

In this category, the prime focus is to provide material which might appeal to a mainstream
audience. The series will include tracks of a more commercial and radio-friendly nature covering
genres such as pop, dance and electro.

Some tracks defy categorisation, they are simply a unit of cultural transmission. This series represents earworms, the songs that are dysfunctional and obtuse, but also the songs which one cannot stop humming or thinking about.
